Suited Up

I definitely would say I am a tee shirt and jeans kind of gal. Every now and again there is an item that breaks me out of going to my tried and true. As you all know, Eloquii this season has been killing it. Their Fall/Holiday collections has something for everybody. One of the biggest trends from the runway was the floral suit and Eloquii gave us plus size gals, not one but two versions this season that are simply amazing.

The Floral Crepe Blazer & Kady pant are the dynamic duo of suits. It's bold color makes this fun to wear. As soon as a put it on my mood was lifted. It fits well and since they are separates I can get so much wear out of both pieces. Blazer's are a big part of my wardrobe; they instantly make a look more polished. This floral one is super cute and makes a statement. I am wearing the blazer in a 20. With blazers for me it's all about the fit in my arms and across the chest. This blazer fits great, and I have room to layer. The Kady is my go to pant. I own the pant in several colors and prints, and I always receive compliments any time I wear them. I wear a 16 in Kady, and even though I have the pants in different fabrications, the sizing is still consistent.

I have been wearing loafers since I was a little girl, and when I saw these from Asos, I just had to have them. The punchy color worked perfectly with my suit, and above all else, they are comfortable to wear. Heeled loafers are another big trend this season, and anything with a block heel is just easier on your feet. Tis the season for cold weather so I wore my favorite turtleneck sweater from the Gap. There is nothing cute about being sick, so I like to keep my neck covered up in the winter time. Cute and covered is the name of the game in the winter.

Wearing a suit was something I always shied away from. Most plus size suits were drab and boring, so it was never something I wanted to invest in. Having options that are not only well fitting, but fit into my style makes me willing to wear different things, and I must say I love it. What do you think?

Ditto

I love me a good pair of sunnies, but let's be real, I can not buy every single pair that I see. Even though I can not buy all the shades in the world, I can try them and when I see another pair that I like I can switch it. How do you ask? By using Ditto. Ditto is a service that allows you to try sunnies or prescription eyewear for $24 a month!! Yup, that right lovers, for the fraction of a price of a pair of designer shades, you can change up and try as many as you like.

The site is super easy to use. Create a profile and upload a picture of yourself. My biggest resistance to online shopping for shades was all about how they would look on my face. There are tons of shades that I love, but when I put them on, it's like "No girl put them back". With Ditto, you can then virtual try on all the glasses and sunnies you like. All the guess work of whether or not they would look great on is gone. With the guesswork gone, and shopping from the comforts of home- it's a win win situation. Added bonus, if you try a pair and realize that you can not live without them, you can buy them. I see no downside. I'm always up for trying new sunglasses brands, so I was excited that Ditto has a brand called Retro Super Future. Their shades are super cool, and I just knew I had to try Akin in Black Matte. I have been wearing them for two weeks, and I get so many compliments from people on the street. There are some other cool shades on my list to get, so I may swap these babies for the new Lanvin Gold shades (since we are in the Holiday Season), or the new Ray Ban Rose Gold aviators.

Since it is the time for giving, if you use my code STYLEOVERSIZE you will receive one month free. That's right lovers, one month to try all the shades and glasses you wish. I can't wait to try my next pair. Treat yourself to a new pair of sunnies, or gift it to one your favorite people on your Christmas list. Either way, enjoy!!!

Crazy Color

I can not believe it's December. The Holidays are in full swing and my time has been spent looking for presents, and getting ready for all of the Holiday parties. For me when temps start to drop, I go to my tried and true all black ensembles. Black is my comfort blanket. Throw on a black sweater and pants and some booties and I am out the door. This Holiday, I'm making an effort to wear more color and I'm starting with a twist on one my favorite jeans: the boyfriend.

I love the way boyfriend jeans fit on me. They are the perfect amount of slouch without looking sloppy. These paint splattered versions from Melissa McCarthy are fun and amazingly comfortable. I have been eyeing these for a while, and when the site was having a 40% off sale, I went for it and bought them. If you have not tried her jeans before I suggest them. I wear a size 16, and they hug where they need to and I have yet to deal with them stretching out.

I wanted to keep the color going so I went with one of my favorite sweaters from the Gap. The Crazy Stripe sweater has been a favorite of mines since I was in high school and over the past couple of years they have brought them back in different variations. I have had this button neck one for a couple of years, but there is a new variation available with more of a metallic look which is super cute. Chunky knits and jeans are the perfect weekend look. It can be dressed down with sneakers to run errands or with booties to meet with the gals for brunch.

With all my pops of colors, I went with some neutrals to tie in the rest of my look. This quilted coat from Melissa McCarthy has been a go to over the past couple of months for me. Oversized coats have been all over the runways for Fall, and this one has the right amount of volume without swallowing you whole. I wear a 20 in coats, and with this coat the 1X was perfect. I have room to layer underneath, and its quite warm. I finished off my look with my booties from Lane Bryant. I love the bow detailing and the wide width which makes them very comfortable. Well I am off to finish up my shopping. Enjoy lovers!!!

Layer Addict

Layering will always be a part of my go to styling technique when the temps drop. Yes, I want to be cute, but there is nothing worse than wearing an outfit and you are freezing. You can climatize your looks so that you can have the best of both worlds. One of the pieces that is needed in my wardrobe to achieve my perfect weather look is a vest. Vests are the easiest way you can look layered and polished to perfection.

Why a vest? Vests add layers without tons of bulk. When I wear a blazer and a coat, there are times when you can see how many layers I am wearing and I look bulky. When I am wearing a vest, I can have on a sweater, vest, and a coat and it doesn't look like I am wearing tons of layers. This shearling vest from Simply Be has been a go to now that weather is getting colder. I get the best of both worlds with this vest. Shearling is warm and super on trend, but with the vest, I can wear it alone like I did here, or add layers for a bundled up look (pom pom hat and cozy scarf).

With my vest, I wore a short sleeved striped sweater and a denim pencil skirt. I have been drawn towards colorful prints, and this sweater is super cute. I will be honest, my closet is bursting at the seams with items that are very specific (like sequins, leather, and fur). I want to make sure besides having all those fun pieces I have items that can do double or triple duty. Since this sweater is lightweight, I can wear it with a blazer, or over a button up with a pair of pants, or jeans.

Remember lovers, it is Cyber Monday, if you are loving this look head to Simply Be to save 30% off your total purchase! Happy Shopping!

Black Friday Shopping

Holiday Season is in full swing, and I wanted to share some of my scores. I'm not about fighting folks at 6pm on Thanksgiving day, so I charged up the Macbook and have been enjoying the comfort of my bed and getting some great goodies.

Eloquii

One of my favorites, Eloquii has been one of my go to's this Fall. I love their fun tops and one that I missed out on is now back in stock. I bought the bicycle top from their Conversational Collection. Definitely make sure to check out the tops & dresses before they sell out again. I picked up this cutie and a pair of velvet wide leg pants...cause you can never be too ready for an impromptu get together with the peeps. Right now everything is 50% off, better head there asap. Conversational print blouse originally $69.90, on sale now for $34.95.

Bath & Body Works

Fashion is my passion, but I am all about skincare and body products. Bath & Body Works is one of my favorites, and I love their Holiday Collections. Though many are big on the body wash, I am all about their body scrubs. Now that it's starting to get col, slipping on a warm and cozy sweater against my smooth skin is just perfection. Also, in the winter months your skin is dryer and a scrub helps remove the dead skin so that your moisturizer well help your skin properly hydrated.  I can't wait to try the Frosted Coconut Snowball scrub and body creme. With their current promotion of Buy 3, Get 3 Free and my $10 off coupon I was able to get 6 of my favorites for $33.50 (Reg Price for 6 $87).

Zara

30% off at Zara....need I say more? Picked up a cute clutch and a pair of flats for $40. I am excited that Zara is offering XXL in their assortment but I have yet to find a top I am in love with in my size. I'm a patient gal, I will just keep checking out the site. Until then, I will still be all about their shoes and accessories.

M.A.C.

My go to for lippies, I ordered their Black Plum Friday set. For $35, you get the limited edition shade Black Friday Vamplify gloss, matching lip liner, and a gel eye liner. This online exclusive shade will be a great edition to my vampy fall colors. One vamplify lip gloss is $20 and the lip pencil is $21, so the fact that you are only paying $35 it's like you are receiving the eye liner for free.

This is just the tip of my shopping iceberg, so make sure you are following me on Instagram & Snapchat to see what else this shopaholic gets for the holiday season.
