Twinkle Twinkle
When asked how do I describe my style it's mix of classics with streetwear. I love having classics in my closet, but I still need fun statement pieces that just take my look to the next level. My last post shared a faux leather top, now I'm back with the classic moto jacket & for a bit of fun, a crop top!
Now this jacket is no stranger to the blog. This moto jacket from Who What Wear was the best $45 I ever spent. Even though it is faux leather, it's good quality faux leather. This jacket is probably a year old, and it shows no signs of cracking. Two sad moments, when your jeans get holes in the thigh from chub rub, and when your faux leather jacket starts to crack and peel. This jacket is still going strong. Even though this one no longer available, I have linked some other great options below.
Now for a little edge, I wore Eloquii's faux leather crop top. I went with the top in a size 18 to make sure I had coverage, but since the back panel is made of a stretch ponte material, I think I could have sized down so it can be a bit more fitted. Knowing this, I can make some tweaks and adjustments to make the top even better. Another great thing I like about this top is that now that the temps are dropping I can wear this as a layering piece. I have a great white tunic blouse that would look cool with this on top. While some may not be comfortable baring their stomach, the great thing about this look is that with the right skirt or pants you will be covered.
My boo Sometimes Glam let me rock her beautiful wrap skirt from her upcoming Spring collection for Astra Signature. I love that it is a wrap skirt, so you can tie it to bare as much or as little as you like. I like the fact that I can show a little leg. I always find it sexy when a woman is walking down the street and a slight breeze is blowing showing a nice amount of leg. The skirt itself is amazing. The quality of this skirt is really good. It's lightweight, but in no way sheer. The print is a stand out all in its own, but with my moto and crop top, it looks like an edgy fun dress. If you love maxi skirts, then you have to check this one out.
I will admit, these days I have been not about wearing heels. With all the great flats and sneakers, why wear heels if I don't have to? The 90's may have been big on the mule, but in 2017, the flat statement mule or slide is definitely the move. I saw these cuties online, and said ok, those are fun. It wasn't until I saw these in person did I say ok, you must come home with me. The Aldo Dorriety comes in pink as well as black. I wish it came in a taupe or grey, that would be a nice alternative to black. Don't get me wrong, the pink is nice, but wearing a light pink suede shoe in NYC is a no no. These NY streets aint loyal and that shoe would get soo dirty.
I had a twirltastic twinkle day. So lovers, what do you think???
