Omen II

Happy Halloween!! Now I may not be the costume getting partying gal, but I bring my own flair to the holiday. How? By wearing an ode to the NYC palette of choice and Damian from the Omen- an all black look. If you know me by now, this not going to be simple all black look, I gotta add a little something something to it.

I love me a good leather item, whether real or faux- especially when it comes to a skirt or dress. I have a good deal of faux leather skirts, but this one here from Ashley Stewart is different from anything I have in my closet. It’s a wrap skirt which shows off the gams in a fun and sexy way. This skirt can be worn as a showstopper piece for date night, or you can wear it casually on the weekends. For a casual vibe, I would wear it with a super chunky turtleneck sweater with my Adidas Superstars. I went with a size 18 in the skirt, and it was a great fit.

Now I haven’t been about the heel life in a while. There has been so many great options in a low heel or flat, that I have not missed wearing heels at all. Then I saw the Amelia on Eloquii’s site, and and that was the end of my no heels strike. A sequin over the knee boot that goes up these 17.5 inch calves, stays up on my thigh, and under $100- adds to cart. I went with a size 9W (I wear 8.5 on average) so that I have enough room when the temps drop so I can wear my fleece lined socks and stay nice and toasty. This boot has a 3 inch heel, and I must say these were very comfortable. I wore these for an entire afternoon and had no problems. Since I have some room, I may throw in an insole to make them even better. If the sequins are not more your speed, these do come in black faux suede.

For the rest of my look, I went with a classic mock neck turtleneck. This one is great because it uses your body heat to keep yourself warm. I found these last year, and I have some more in my cart to stock up for this winter. This top goes up a XXL, which can fit up a 22. I wear a 18 and I am able to fit a XL. To keep the baddie vibes going, I went with my leather jacket from Fullbeaity and Rebecca Minkoff handbag.

Are you into dressing up for Halloween or are you about chilling at home enjoying the all day showing of Hocus Pocus? Sound off in the comments. Muah!!!

Tribal

When I was younger I loved bold bright prints. The brighter the better. Then when I started working, wearing color was replaced with black. Black with black, black white a hint of white. Don't get me wrong I still will rock black and be proud, but wearing a bold print on a gorgeous day puts me in a better mood.

I found this tribal scuba skirt on Ashley Stewart's website. A good midi is vital to my Spring/Summer wardrobe. I like to be comfortable, and a scuba midi can take me from work to rooftop bar without missing a beat (and might I add wrinkle free). This skirt is a pull on style, therefore I went with a 14/16. When wearing pull on skirts, I want them to be tighter on my waist since there is a chance the elastic can stretch and no one wants a droopy skirt around your waist. The skirt is on sale for $25 so it's a nice addition to your closet without breaking the bank. My top is a oldie but goodie laser cut top from Forever 21, but I did find one similar

Tribal skirt- tasseled shoes- umm yeah. I first posted these Vince Camuto Kathin sandals on my post Bzzzzzz, but did not take a close up. I am a sucker for ankle tie shoes. I am obsessed with them and I am not the least bit ashamed about it. My Dooney & Bourke Zip Satchel is still my favorite white bag. It's the perfect size to carry all your essentials. What do you think lovers? Are you willing to go tribal?
