As much as I love color, black and white is always a go to color combo that I go back to time and time again. It's an easy way to play around with pattern mixing or to try new prints because it's a classic.

As soon as I saw the Edie Dress from Fashion To Figure, I just had to have it. It's a simple dress, but it makes an impact. Fashion To Figure has the cutest dresses this season. I love how it hugs my curves but I don't feel trapped in the dress. It has the right amount of stretch so that it is comfortable. I have worn bodycon's that ride up or are constricting that I felt trapped in my clothes. Regardless of what I'm wearing, being comfortable is always at the top of my list. I'm wearing a 2X and I was good the entire day. If you are looking for a cute dress that is less than $45, I suggest you get this one before it sells out.

Moto's will always be my fashion obsession, and my favorite of the moment is this super cute one from Modamix. The Jaime jacket has become one of my top 3 moto's of all time. How often do you see a great faux leather plus size jacket in white? Not very often unfortunately. I love the stripes, fit, and just how it makes an impact. I wanted to throw in a splash of color, so I went with my Zuri tie up heels from Eloquii. I love how it adds a bit of a playful vibe to the outfit. Let me know what you think! Later!

Ladylike

While reading my September issues this week, I saw Kate Spade's Fall ads. I love Kate Spade's ladylike charm, and it was the inspiration for today's post. Kate Spade ads are always pretty and polished with just a hint of posh. Immediately when I thought of what to wear I went with this Pleated Dress from Forever 21. It's lightweight and the hunter green color is great color to wear as we start to transition into fall. Another reason why I like this dress is the tie belt. I am not the biggest belt person, but the tie belt can easily change the dynamic of the dress. You can wear like I did with the belt to help define your waist or go sans belt to wear it loose. You can wear this dress to work, to happy hour, to a late night date night with ease, and then remix it for the weekend. A must have for any lady is a great handbag, and I went with the Tyra Zip Tote from Fashion to Figure. It is roomy (there's plenty of pockets), and it comes with a strap if you want to use it as a shoulder bag. The jade color of the handbag provided a nice contrast against the hunter green. I have been playing around with colors within the same family as a way provide some depth. Usually my go to is a pop of neon with a pastel, but I love how this turned out. When it came down to what to wear on my feet, I grabbed my animal print flats. I love these flats from Louise Et Cie (these were first featured in my NSale post a month ago). Woman In Windowpane

During my mini break from work, my besties and I went to see one of my favorite singers Miss Jill Scott in Brooklyn. For a night out with my boo's I thought it would be great for me to wear my Windowpane Dress from Fashion to Figure. This dress is perfect for a summer night out in the city. It's sassy, and sexy all rolled into one- from the great pattern to the mesh panels along the bottom. Unfortunately, this dress is sold out online, but you may be able to find it in stores. There is however another windowpane version on sale with a cutout in the back (it's super cute, trust me). I didn't want to steal any attention away from the dress so I went with simple ankle strap pumps from BCBGeneration. I went with my Kate Spade clutch from my last post Spotted, since it literally holds everything without being the slightest bit bulky. The concert was great, Jill did her thing as always and had the whole crowd captivated. She is my #WCW all day everyday. She was flaunting her curves, belting out tunes, and when her feet started to hurt she took off her shoes and kept on going. She is woman after my own heart. All White Cruise #FFF2015

Continuing on with a great week of fashion, fun, and fellowship, next up for me was the Full Figured Fashion Week All White Cruise. The cruise is one of the biggest events of the week rivaled to the fashion shows. It's always great to see all the beautiful women showing off their best in white. For this year's event I went with Fashion to Figure's Mesh Crop Top and my favorite pants from Lane Bryant. I was feeling quite adventurous and decided to show some belly. Usually when I wear a crop top its with a high waisted skirt, but I wanted to mix it up. I was going to wear some cute heels, but I remember last year when I brought them and took them off after an hour because of all of the rocking back and forth. So I decided to forgo changing shoes and went with my Vince Camuto Miya sandals. These are my sandals of the summer, and currently on sale at Vince Camuto. So if you are in the need of a good leather sandal, look no further. Since I was feeling bold, I decided to rock a bold purple lip. I mixed two of my favorite purple lippies Mac Violetta & Signature PS Unlimited.

This year the cruise was held on a spacious yacht. There were three floors so there was plenty of room to move about and socialize. On the first floor, Ashley Stewart had a mini runway show displaying their best white party outfits. There were cut-out jeans, flowy dresses, lace, and linen. There were some great giveaways, and we even got some performances. What made my evening was meeting bloggers that I have admired such as Assa from My Curves and Curls, and Ashley from Big Beautiful Black Girls. Of course I spent time with my girls Sandra & Darlene and my new boo Gavyn. I danced, I laughed, and I had the best drink ever called the Long Beach- its the cousin of a Long Island Iced Tea.
