Pastel
When I was little, I loved me some baby pink...I wore the coolest pink and white striped Osh Kosh B'Gosh overalls with matching pink sneakers. Pink was everything for me. Then I got older and I was all about dark colors. Pink was for babies, and I wanted no part of it. In college, I went through another pink phase, but it was not like how it was when I was younger. Now as an adult, I'm all about the versatility, coolness and neutrality of grey. When pastels came back on the scene and how easily they can be paired with practically any color, I was intrigued. How can I make it work for my body, and look cool, not cutesy? It's all about the silhouette.
This off the shoulder top was a no brainer for me. I had to have it in my wardrobe. The cold shoulder was just the gateway to going full blown bare, and I am all for it. It comes in three colors, black, pink, and chambray. You can't go wrong with black, but I wanted to do something different and try the baby pink. Wearing something sexy and cool like this top in pink was what I needed to incorporate more pastels in my life. These pastel blue jeggings from Fashion to Figure paired perfectly with the top. I have been a fan of these since they dropped last fall, and the light blue pair is great for this season. Ample stretch and they hit right above my waist- two of my requirements when buying jeans. For accessories I went with my suede wedges and paint splattered clutch from the Who What Wear Collection for Target. My rule for wearing pastels, mix it up with darker based colors in a similar family or another pastel for Easter egg goodness. I like to pair pink with red or fuschia. What do you think lovers? Are you ready to go bare this season, or are you going to be all about pastels? Let me know in the comments!! Muah!!
