DENIM LOVER
I am a denim addict. Always have, always will be. It all started with my Osh Kosh B'Gosh overalls. My mom bought me several pairs, and of course matching sneakers. I looked snazzy and I was able to play for hours without a care in the world. Wearing denim is comfortable for me. For me, there is nothing that denim can not be. In the right kind of jeans you can sexy as hell or laid back.
With all the options in jeans out there in plus, there was something that I wanted that I just could not find, and that was a denim jumpsuit. Last year I scoured numerous sites and stores to find the right jumpsuit. There were two I saw last year- one was halter style (which for me means wearing an uncomfortable strapless bra), and another was wide leg (which meant I might have to get it tailored or be forced to wear heels with it). Since these were not the jumpsuits for me, I moved on and just wore my overalls. Fast forward a year, and now not only did I find my perfect jumpsuit, there were three out there I liked.
I am wearing a chambray jumpsuit from Simply Be, which is currently sold out (cue the crying). Chambray has no stretch at all, so how it fits is crucial. At the time I ordered this I went with a size 16 (my normal size) because the 18 was sold out. I added it to my cart and prayed for the best. When it arrived, I liked how well it fit on me. It had enough room for my thighs and my arms, and I can move around and still feel comfortable. With me going with my size, it was more of a fitted jumpsuit which works best for me. I have to be careful at times wearing things that are too roomy, I end up just looking sloppy or bigger than what I am. My suggestion would be to go one size up if you want more a slouchy fit, and if you want it to be more fitted go with your normal size. The length on this jumpsuit worked well on my 5'5" frame. Granted, I am wearing heels, but I did try these on with flats, and I did not have to worry about it dragging on the ground. Since the Simply Be jumpsuit is sold out, I found two other options from Asos. One is denim and the other is olive green which ties to the Utilitarian Trend.
Like John Weatherspoon said in Boomerang, "You can't just stop right there, you got to coordinate!"; I didn't stop at the jumpsuit, I am wearing Denim Wayfarers from Ray Ban. I saw these in Nordstrom's Spring Lookbook, and they are made out of real denim! As a denim addict and shopaholic, I just had to have these. I am going to be living in these shades all season. I am wearing Ivanka Trump floral pumps, and my clutch is from Sole Society. If you can get these pumps, please do, they are a decent height and are well cushioned.
