What Do You Pink?

The first pink item that I fell in love with was a pair of pink striped overalls from Osh Kosh B'Gosh. They were comfy and oh so cool. Here it is some time later, and I am in love with another easy breezy pink piece, this time a jumpsuit. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Cute & affordable?? Buy this jumpsuit now!

This jumpsuit is from the new plus size brand Loralette. If you have not heard of them, they are the sister brand to the Avenue. Their focus is towards the plus size trendy gal. The brand launched earlier this year, and there are some super cute pieces that I have been feeling. If you head to the site, there are great tops, dresses, and even some cute swim options.

I am wearing a 2X in the jumpsuit. Loralette sizing goes from 1X-3X. I normally wear a 16-18 and the 2X had just the right amount of room for my thighs. With this being cropped, I am always worried about where it hit against my leg, but the length on this worked great for my 5'5" frame. The faux wrap design gives it some added interest and the self tie gives the illusion of a belt. It's stretchy which makes ever so comfortable. It's also a great price, only $55, but when you sign up your, first purchase is 40% off which would make this $38.50!!! An instant outfit maker that's affordable? Add this to your cart ASAP.

Hey you!

Besides the price, the versatility of this jumpsuit is another reason why this is a keeper. I can wear it to work- all that is needed is a lightweight jacket since the office can get chilly. Weekend running around with some sneakers, or date night with some killer heels. For my look, I went with my favorite oldie but goodie wedges with a choker and fun clutch. My clutch is sold out, but I found another cute option from Who What Wear.

Definitely check out Loralette which is online, or in select Avenue locations!

Enjoy lovers!!! Muah!

Ride or Die

I have been a fan of Rachel Rachel Roy for years. The prints, and design were always a favorite of mine. Now there were some things I could wear depending on how it ran, but most of the dresses and jumpsuits that I liked were not for these curves. Then they launched Rachel Rachel Roy Curvy (angels singing). I was jumping for joy when the line was launched and it was going to be at my local Macy's. One of my favorite pieces from the lookbook was the chambray jumpsuit. This incorporates two of my favorites, denim and a jumpsuit, so the shopaholic in me had to have it.

Wide leg jumpsuits can be tricky. You want to ensure that the leg opening is wide enough but at the same time you want to make sure that the top fits well. The great thing about this jumpsuit is that the bodice is fitted with an elastic back so all you have to worry about is the fit on the bottom. Since this doesn't stretch I went with a 2X.

I am bag whore and this Rebecca Minkoff Sophie clutch is one of my favorites. The pop of color and fringe detail just brings everything together. I found these sunnies from Nordstrom for $24. These are called the Soho from a brand called A.J. Morgan. They have a lot of cute styles and are very affordable. The jumpsuit is a little on the long side so I wore my favorite wedges from Dolce Vita. Definitely give the RRR Curvy line a try. There are new items up every month, and their latest collection is currently sitting in my shopping cart. Enjoy!!

Suede

Suede is one of my favorite fabrics. My first suede item (that I can recall) was a pink suede Sister Sister-esque hat. For all my people that were born in the 70's-80's you know what kind of hat I'm talking about. :) I loved that hat so much!! I wore it with everything.

Fast forward to now- the majority of my shoes- suede. Not the best to wear in bad leather, but you can not deny that a red suede pump is not the sexiest. Whether real or faux suede has a soft spot in my heart. Now suede is creeping into my wardrobe in the form of shirts, skirts, and now a jumpsuit. It was a no brainer when I saw this jumpsuit on Eloquii's website. This is the perfect item to wear right now. It's Spring, but there is still a slight chill in the air, so wearing this keeps you warm without over-heating yourself. I get hot easily, so trust me, if I felt trapped I would not be wearing it. The temp in NYC was in the 50's, so this with a jacket was perfect. The cropped wide leg on this jumpsuit was the right width for me. When buying wide leg pants, I am always mindful of the fit because I want it to skim the leg to create a long line.  I never want them too tight or too loose on my thighs. These hit right at my sweet spot in order to show off these cute patchwork pumps from Zara. These shoes accentuate the jumpsuit effortlessly. They can make an impact all by themselves or play well with another colorful item. Thinking about pairing these shoes with another print to practice my pattern mixing. They are the perfect height for strolling around town. I went with my cool statement necklace from Baublebar, bold pink lippie, and my Dooney & Bourke handbag.
